Autobytel.com Partners With Japanese Firms

Autobytel.com said Thursday that it will team up with six Japanese Internet and finance companies to form a unit to expand Autobytel’s online automotive-retailing services to Japan. A new car program will begin operating in the fourth quarter, with used vehicle sales and financing and insurance services to follow in early 2000, the Irvine-based company said.
