NAWBO Names First Executive Director

* The National Assn. of Women Business Owners’ Los Angeles chapter has named Sonia LevyWayne its first executive director.

“I believe that hundreds of women entrepreneurs make up an extraordinary and vital component of the Los Angeles-area economy,” Wayne said. “The countless thousands of jobs, products and services they provide are critical to the strength and stability of the region.”

Wayne previously served as executive director of the Santa Monica College Foundation and as director of corporate gifts for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The NAWBO Los Angeles chapter, the largest U.S. chapter of the national nonprofit organization, serves 315,000 female business owners.

* Noted bankruptcy law attorney Kenneth N. Klee is leaving the firm Stutman, Treister & Glatt Professional Corp. to start his own firm. Klee, along with Michael L. Tuchin and Lee R. Bogdanoff, have formed the Century City-based law firm of Klee, Tuchin & Bogdanoff. The firm will specialize in bankruptcy, restructuring and corporate reorganization law.

* Santa Barbara-based Tenet Healthcare Corp., one of the largest U.S. hospital operators, has promoted Paul J. Russell to senior vice president of investor relations.
