The City Council on Tuesday awarded a $1.4-million contract to move electrical lines for many street lights underground. The project, part of the Anaheim Resort Area Neighborhood Improvement Program, will remove 131 street lights supplied by overhead lines and install 483 lights connected to underground wires. Project costs also include replacing sidewalks, curbs, gutters and asphalt in affected streets. City engineers expect to begin the project July 1.
