Free Home Improvement Workshop

The League of California Homeowners will sponsor a free home improvement workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Woodland Hills Hilton, 6369 Canoga Ave., Woodland Hills. To reserve seating, call (800) 692-4663.

The workshop will cover how to hire contractors, what should be included in the contract, how to avoid mechanics liens and how to make your home more energy efficient when remodeling.
