@Ventures Invests in BizBuyer.com

BizBuyer.com Inc. will announce today that it received a $5-million investment from venture capital firm @Ventures, an affiliate of CMGI Inc. Santa Monica-based BizBuyer.com offers an online system for small businesses to issue requests for proposals to vendors. The 9-month-old company has 35 employees, and this round of funding--its second--should last until the end of the year, said Bernard Louvat, founder, president and chief executive of BizBuyer.com.
