The City Council tonight will consider the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 city budgets, each totaling about $13 million. Despite a $750,000 annual loss in “new city” subsidies, the budget is expected to have a $2.8-million surplus each year, keeping the general fund at about $11 million. The council will also review the city’s seven-year capital improvement plan. The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 33282 Golden Lantern, Suite 210. Information: (949) 248-9890.
