Interactive Buyers Network Names New Chairman

Robert “Jay” McShirley, president and chief executive officer of Interactive Buyers Network International Ltd. in Ventura, has replaced Samuel E. Bradt as chairman of the board.

Bradt, who recommended the change, will continue as chief financial officer, corporate secretary and a director of the company.

He said McShirley “has been the architect of our technology strategy from the beginning and for some time has been the architect of our business strategy.

“Now that we are moving strongly from the technology development phase into the commercialization phase, it is essential that Jay be viewed as the one person who leads our company.”

Interactive Buyers Network develops Internet uses for business through its subsidiaries, Virtual Source Inc. and WPG.Net. Its flagship product, Virtual Source Network, allows companies to create a Web-based purchasing system to automate all aspects of corporate procurement.
