Ariba Inc. raised the expected size of its initial public offering by as much as 53% on Monday. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of business automation systems filed an amended registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission saying it hopes to sell 5 million shares for $20 to $22 each, raising as much as $110 million. At $22 a share, the company would have an initial market value of about $940 million.
