Bullfrogs Lose Shootout in Dallas

The Bullfrogs’ three-game winning streak ended with a 5-4 shootout loss to the Dallas Stallions in a Roller Hockey International game Wednesday in Dallas.

It was the first victory for Dallas (1-7), which scored twice in the shootout. The Bullfrogs (4-1-2) did not trail in the game, but were outshot, 38-23.

Defenseman Tom Menicci had two goals and Darren Perkins had three assists for the Bullfrogs.

Hugo Belanger of Anaheim had a goal and an assist, extending his scoring streak to seven games. He has a league-leading 24 points.

The Bullfrogs have rescheduled three games in August to accommodate the Arrowhead Pond, which wants to add musical events. The Aug. 8 game with San Jose will move to Aug. 4 at 7 p.m., the Aug. 11 game with Dallas will be played Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. and the Aug. 14 game against Las Vegas will be Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.
