Business Training Program Boasts 31 New Graduates

Thirty-one minority entrepreneurs, from butchers to graphic designers, are graduating Thursday from a 12-week business training class run by the Valley Economic Development Center in Van Nuys.
The graduates, from across the Los Angeles area, are the most recent crop in a yearly VEDC program funded by the Merrill Lynch Foundation.
The graduation will be at 6 p.m. at the Bonaventure Hotel, 404 S. Figueroa St. downtown.
