Cisco to Buy Land for Expansion

Cisco Systems Inc. reached an agreement to buy more than 400 acres near its headquarters in San Jose for a proposed expansion. The price was not disclosed. The site would be Cisco’s largest business location, with as much as 7 million square feet, nearly double its current Silicon Valley space, and would have room for up to 20,000 workers. Cisco now has 10,000 employees in the Silicon Valley, or about 59% of its work force.
