The City Council has voted to direct staff to report on the status of youth and adult sports issues by June 21. The action was prompted by some council members who said they want staff to give more attention to council priorities, such as building a youth sports complex and addressing sports field needs.

“This council has said repeatedly it wants to put youth sports and adult sports as a priority,” Councilman Ralph H. Bauer said. “Hopefully staff will take that to heart.”
