A planning commissioner recently resigned his post because of a perceived conflict of interest. Paul Jones, who still had more than a year left on his term, recently joined Irvine Ranch Water District as general manager. Since the district serves Tustin, the job could pose a conflict for Jones. A commission replacement has not been made; that decision is up to the City Council, said City Manager Bill Huston.
