* A workshop titled “How to Write a Business Plan” will be held at the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center, 5700 Ralston St., Suite 310, Ventura, from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Topics will include critical elements of a plan, how to attract investors and additional sources of information for completing the plan.

* A workshop on “Getting Organized to Get Ahead” will be held at the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, and it will be repeated at the same time Saturday. Topics will include how to organize paper, time, tasks and priorities.

* A workshop called “Introduction to Grant Development” will be offered by the Ventura County Community Foundation and UC Santa Barbara Extension from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at 1317 Del Norte Road, Camarillo. Topics will include project planning, grant sources, research methods and proposal writing.

The cost is $115 for the course, which is an elective in the UC Santa Barbara Marketing Certificate Program.
