LOS ALAMITOS
City officials said they would move quickly to give permit-only parking to neighbors of the Cottonwood Christian Center, possibly within two weeks. More than 20 neighbors of the church, on Sausalito Street, packed City Hall on Monday to say they were fed up with fighting for parking spaces. Mayor Marilynn M. Poe told the crowd that the city has been studying the issue, but neighbors said that process was taking too long. The problem can be traced to the church’s rapid growth--it boasts thousands of members--and insufficient parking. Permit-only parking would give a reprieve to neighbors.
