Social Security
Congratulations on “GOP Draws Up Budget, Minus Social Security” (March 5). What did I like about it? You explained the condition of Social Security the way it really is. Unfortunately, this is seldom done by your newspaper or any other news publication.
This is especially regretful now that the president and Congress are talking about reform. The politicians will not tell us the truth. They will hide behind arcane government accounting rules.
Please continue the good work. Democracy depends on an informed public.
