Growing Pains

Body Glove has been finding its legendary fit just a bit too tight of late.

The Hermosa Beach wetsuit manufacturer, which claims its wetsuits “fit like a glove,” said this week it has relocated its neoprene facility from Redondo Beach to a new, larger warehouse in Torrance.

Body Glove moved its headquarters to a new Redondo Beach location earlier this year.

“The decision to separate the corporate offices from the warehouse was made because of the desire to maintain a presence in the beach community where Body Glove’s roots were established,” said Russ Lesser, president of Body Glove International.

Lack of sufficient warehouse space, however, meant the company would have to move at least part of its operations out of the area, Lesser added in a statement.

The new wetsuit and warehouse facility will be officially opened April 29.
