Pacific Cellist to Step In

Pacific Symphony principal cellist Timothy Landauer will replace cellist Vage Ayrikian at the Mozart Classical Orchestra concert led by Ami Porat on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach. Ayrikian, the Mozart orchestra’s principal cellist, is ill. Landauer will play Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C, as scheduled. Porat’s arrangement of Vivaldi’s Sonata in E minor for cello and orchestra has been taken off the program, which will open with Leopold Hofmann’s Sinfonia in F and close with Haydn’s “La Passione” Symphony. $23-$29.
