Sheriff’s Dept. Seeks Help in Tracking Down 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for probation violations or failure to appear in court. Warrants have been issued in each case.

Manuel Jacob Rodriguez, 21, was convicted of stealing a vehicle and giving a false name to a peace officer. He was placed on probation, which he has violated, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Rodriguez is Latino, 5 feet 8, 130 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He last lived in the 4600 block of Terrace Drive in Oxnard.

Michael Casasola, who also spells his last name Cassola, 28, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in 1997 and failed to appear in court, authorities said.

He was later arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and being under the influence of drugs in November 1998. He gave a different spelling of his last name during that arrest, and the DUI charge was not discovered, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

He has also failed to appear in court in the drug case, authorities said.

Casasola is Latino, 5 feet 6, 120 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Victor Jesus Brizuela, 25, was convicted of burglary and giving a false name to a peace officer. He was placed on probation and deported as an undocumented resident.

He has returned to the U.S. in violation of his probation, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Brizuela is Latino, 5 feet 6, 145 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He last lived in the 400 block of Avenida Del Platino in Thousand Oaks.

Donald Larry West, 42, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession. He was released from jail when the case was not filed in time for court. Criminal charges have since been filed.

West is white, 5 feet 11 and 180 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and is described by the Sheriff’s Department as a transient.
