The city’s Save-Our-Pool effort is $12,000 short of reaching its fund-raising goal of $125,000, according to Nancy Beard, director of parks, recreation and community services.

The two-year campaign is designed to raise funds to refurbish the pool at McGaugh Elementary School with new tiling, plaster and decking. Beard hopes the city’s 25th annual 5K and 10K races on April 17 will raise enough so that the work can begin in the fall.
