Crowded Buses

Share

On March 16, after my usual 12 1/2-hour graveyard shift, I took the bus home. Tired, I stood in the crowd near the back door. On one of the stops, the driver decided that too many people were getting on and yelled, “Enough, clear the door,” and slammed the door shut on a mom and her baby.

Enough is right! Enough of these rude bus drivers, high fares and nasty buses. Now that our city is getting ready for the national Democratic Party Convention, I just can’t help thinking about all those politicians who think they know what’s best for all of us. Maybe they should take Metro Bus No. 31 to the Staples Center (or wherever the convention will take place), so they can feel what it’s like to be treated like second-class citizens.
