Q: Whose Oscar style do you admire most?

A: Katharine Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman and Grace Kelly ... there is a timeless quality to all of them.

Q: Do you have a favorite gown?

A: The long Galliano [for Christian Dior] that Nicole Kidman wore at the 1997 Oscars.

Q: If you went to the Oscars, what would you wear?

A: I loved the Badgley Mischka evening dress I wore in the party scene at the end of “Simply Irresistible.” It was shiny silver-gray stretch silk with a low, V-cut beaded top. For me, simpler is better.

Q: Who is your Oscar-style muse?

A: Someone between Julie Christie and Audrey Hepburn.

Q: If you went to the Oscars, how would you want to look?

A: It’s important to look relaxed, modern and comfortable, like you are wearing the outfit and it’s not wearing you.

Q: Does fashion play a part in your off-screen life?

A: I’m such a sucker for beautiful clothes. I have to sneak them in the house so that my husband doesn’t see them.

Q: Whose style do you admire?

A: I am very inspired by the fashion of the young Liz Taylor. The way she dressed was so impeccable and elegant. I love perfect jewels.

Q: How do you like to dress?

A: I believe in individuality. I never think of anyone as my day-to-day style idol. I like fashion very chic, very practical and very urban. I want to wear heels, but I want them to be comfortable.

Q: What would you wear to the Oscars?

A: If and when I ever go, I’ll definitely go for glamour.
