Two years after the Police Commission rejected his application for a second term, former Los Angeles Police Chief Willie L. Williams has begun a new career--as an executive with a Dallas medical auditing company founded by his sister.

Williams has been working as chief operating officer of Argus Services Corp. since January. Founded in 1986 by Williams’ sister, Catherine Walker, the company audits employee medical bills and worker compensation claims for companies, government agencies and school districts.

Williams was unavailable Monday for comment.

Williams has joined the board of the Greater Dallas Crime Commission, a residents group founded in 1950 to combat police corruption and sponsor community programs.

“We’re really happy to have him. He’s been the chief in two major cities, so he has a lot to offer,” said Oliver “Buck” Revell, a former deputy director of the FBI, who chairs the crime commission.
