Pizza Hut to Offer Toys With Meals

Share

Pizza Hut Inc., stealing a page from burger chains that entice families into restaurants by offering toys to youngsters, will begin offering playthings with its pizzas. The Dallas-based chain said various types of K-Nex toys will be sold for 99 cents and be available with dine-in, delivery or carryout orders. National advertising for the toy program will begin April 5 with 30-second spots on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Fox Kids. “With almost 80% of kids eating pizza at home, it’s only logical that we would give them the same convenience,” said Randy Gier, Pizza Hut chief marketing officer.
