LAGUNA NIGUEL
City staff and business owners agreed on a proposal to broaden city zoning codes in the Gateway expansion plan at this week’s Planning Commission meeting, the fourth public hearing on the proposed zoning code changes. The original proposal had angered auto-related business owners on Forbes Road, who worried that rezoning would force them out. Although neither side termed the proposal a compromise, both were optimistic that if approved, the plan would represent their concerns fairly. The issue will be considered and voted on by the Planning Commission at its April 13 meeting before being placed on the City Council’s agenda. Information: (949) 362-4360.
