Tustin Girl Released in Brief Kidnapping
A 4-year-old Tustin girl kidnapped from her home Sunday was dropped off about half a mile away screaming in front of a factory in the city’s industrial southeast corner, police said.
A worker told police he heard the child at about 12:45 p.m., looked outside and saw a white car, possibly a two-door hatchback, racing away. The girl ran to him, and he took her inside and called police.
The girl was able to tell police enough information for officials to contact her parents, who had been frantically looking for her. Investigators determined the girl had been picked up by a man from in front of her home in the city’s southeast area.
There were no initial signs of trauma to the youngster, and she was in good spirits, said police Lt. Brent Zicarelli.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Sgt. Bill Fisher at (714) 573-3257.
