Nettaxi Acquires PlusNet

Nettaxi Inc., a World Wide Web community, said it agreed to buy closely held PlusNet Inc. of Los Angeles for about $70 million in stock to bring advanced-search and comparison-shopping capabilities to its subscribers. Campbell, Calif.-based Nettaxi said details of the transaction will be finalized this week.
