As the city gets closer to build-out, some of the special boards created to deal with growth issues are running out of things to do. Mayor Sherri M. Butterfield said the City Council plans to consider restructuring its boards and commissions to better reflect the city’s activity level before appointing new members. One option is turning over some duties to the Planning Commission, which could then create ad hoc subcommittees for traffic and economic development issues.
