Catcher Makes the Play, Heads for Home
L.A. Dodger catcher Todd Hundley and his wife, Tiffany, have moved into their new Pasadena home, which had been listed in the high $2-million range.
The former New York Mets All-Star catcher, traded to the Dodgers in December, played in his first game as a Dodger in late March after being sidelined for the first month of spring training because of elbow irritation.
Hundley, 29, scored a major league record for home runs by a catcher, 41, in 1996.
The Pasadena home has six bedrooms, including a 1,000-square-foot master suite, in 6,600 square feet. The seller, an entrepreneur, built the house in 1994. It has many skylights and has been described as bright and woodsy.
The Hundleys chose the home for its convenient access to Dodger Stadium.

The longtime Beverly Hills home of the late ventriloquist and puppeteer Shari Lewis and her husband, book publisher and TV producer Jeremy Tarcher, has come on the market at just under $2.5 million.
Lewis, who died in August at 65, had won a dozen Emmys. She had entertained audiences for four decades with the hand puppet Lamb Chop. Her last TV series, “The Charlie Horse Music Pizza,” was a mainstay of PBS programming for children.
She also wrote more than 60 children’s books and appeared in 24 home videos. Among the videos was “101 Things for Kids to Do.”
Lewis and her husband had owned their Beverly Hills home since 1967. Built in 1928, the Spanish-style house has four bedrooms in about 5,200 square feet. The master suite has a gym, library, beauty room and lots of closet space. The home also has a dance studio, pool, cabana, office and guest quarters.

Actress-singer Susan Anton, a frequent performer on the Las Vegas stage and in theater productions who has hosted the interview show “Las Vegas!” for the Travel Channel, has purchased a home in Las Vegas for $350,000.
Anton, 48, was Miss California before she became a household face in the ‘70s as the Muriel Cigar Girl. In the early ‘90s, she was on “Baywatch,” playing mother to junior lifeguard Nicole Eggert. She often guests on variety and comedy specials and on stage as a country-western singer.
The house has three bedrooms and three baths in 3,000 square feet.
