Ford Exec Gets Mercury Sales Job

Share

Longtime Ford Motor Co. executive Jennifer Moneagle has been appointed group brand manager for the company’s Mercury unit, making her one of the highest-ranking women in the U.S. auto industry’s marketing segment.

Moneagle, 43, will be responsible for marketing and strategies for all Mercury vehicle lines. The sales specialist, who is scheduled to move to Mercury’s headquarters in Irvine on May 17, will be charged with revving up consumer interest in a once-proud brand name that has been slumping for decades.

Moneagle, who joined Ford in 1981, is Mercury’s Chicago regional sales manager. She was not available for comment Thursday.

Moneagle takes over from Alfred Giombetti, 42, who has returned to Michigan to serve as brand manager for Ford trucks.
