Clinton Nominates Envoy to Guatemala
From Times Wire Reports
President Clinton nominated Prudence Bushnell, currently U.S. ambassador to Kenya, as his next envoy to Guatemala. Bushnell was in Nairobi during the bombing of its U.S. Embassy in Aug. 7. She was injured in the blast. The bombing, coupled with a blast at the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania, killed at least 257 people and injured more than 5,000. Her nomination requires Senate confirmation.
