TUSTIN
The Police Department has implemented a four-person bicycle patrol. A sergeant and three officers will ride through neighborhoods, shopping malls and the downtown area, providing high visibility to residents. The team is fully uniformed and armed and will make arrests, stop vehicles and target specific high-crime areas. Police say it is an innovative approach to patrolling places where squad cars cannot go and allows officers to make direct contact with the public. Information: (714) 573-3200.
