Discussions Cater to Catholics

Catholics are invited to a discussion on scripture, morality, faith communities and more at 6:15 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish Church. Special Services

The Rev. Jim J. Clarke, evangelization and adult education coordinator, will lead a healing Mass and service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. Clarke is assistant pastor of St. James Church in Redondo Beach. Those suffering from emotional, physical or spiritual illness, or those concerned for someone who is, are encouraged to attend. The Tustin Presbyterian Church Chancel choir and the Newport Harbor Lutheran Church Chancel choir will present Haydn’s “Theresienmesse” at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lutheran Church. The “Theresa Mass” will be performed with Haydn’s original instrumentation of strings, trumpets, clarinets, bassoons, timpani and organ. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Rabbi Louis Feldstein will speak on “The Role of Israel in Jewish Identity” at the Jewish Federation Young Leadership brunch at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Irvine Marriott hotel. Students from the 10th-grade Temple Bat Yahm confirmation class will complete their formal Jewish education at the annual Confirmation service at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Huntington Beach/South County March for Jesus will take place at 10 a.m. next Saturday. The march begins at 5th and Walnut streets in downtown Huntington Beach and ends at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza.
