Prichard Is New Pastor

Tustin Presbyterian Church has chosen the Rev. Rebecca B. Prichard as its new pastor, effective June 1. Prichard will be the first installed female head-of-staff in the Los Ranchos Presbytery, which includes Orange County and parts of Los Angeles County.

Prichard is a native Californian and now serves a congregation in Brownsburg, Ind. A graduate of Occidental College and Claremont Graduate University, Prichard received her doctorate from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. She was ordained in 1988 to serve as assistant minister at St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Prichard succeeds the Rev. Jack H. Barrell, who has served as the church’s interim pastor since November 1993. He will preside over his last worship service at 9 a.m. May 30. The church is at 225 W. Main St. Information: (714) 544-7070.
