The City Council tonight will hold a public hearing on sewer fees. Last year, the city took over the operation and maintenance of the sewer system from the Stanton/Orange County Water District. To ensure sufficient revenue to operate the Sewer Department, city officials must adopt an ordinance establishing user fee rates. The residential customer rate for sewer services is $28.25 a year. The rate remains unchanged from previous years and is collected on the property tax bill, City Manager Terry Matz said. The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in chambers, 7800 Katella Ave.
