GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS
* TCI Construction in Santa Barbara has been awarded a contract for $1.4 million from Ventura County to build a drain in Las Posas Estates near Camarillo. The project involves construction of 2,500 linear feet of a rectangular open channel, plus riprap, access roads and a chain link fence.
The work is scheduled to begin this week and continue through Nov. 18.
* Timothy J. Ferrie of Ojai was awarded a contract for $48,801 from Ventura County to install 17 water sampling stations in Moorpark and in unincorporated areas of Ventura County Water Works District No. 1.
The project is scheduled for completion by June 9.
