North American Scientific Sales Increase 122%

North American Scientific Inc. in Chatsworth has reported record sales and earnings for its second quarter ended April 30.

Sales increased 122% to $3 million, compared with $1.4 million for the second quarter of the previous year. Net income for the company was $717,000 or 10 cents per diluted share, compared with $279,000 or 4 cents per diluted share for the comparable quarter of the previous year.

The increase in sales and profit for the quarter was driven primarily by the rise in revenues generated from a new product line, officials said.
