GeoCities CEO to Lecture at UCLA

GeoCities Chief Executive David Bohnett will become a Regents’ Lecturer at UCLA for the 1999-2000 academic year after the company he co-founded is acquired by Yahoo. During the two-week period of his appointment, Bohnett will share his experiences as an Internet entrepreneur with students and faculty members in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and in the School of Law. Marina del Rey-based GeoCities agreed to be acquired by Yahoo in January for $3.9 billion. Bohnett is expected to leave the company when the takeover is completed in the next few weeks.
