As long as surf pounds sand, there’ll be a place for surf music, and nobody pounds it harder than Dick Dale, O.C.’s own King of the Surf Guitar. Though he’ll be blazing away tonight in San Juan Capistrano on his reverb-soaked Fender Stratocaster with chest-rattling power chords and scorching fret-board runs that launched him as a surf legend almost 40 years ago, Dale’s also now incorporating into his sets an acoustic segment.
