From Times Wire Reports

Security forces regained control of a residential area of Kuwait after two days of rioting by Egyptian workers, triggered by a broken plate. Information Minister Saad bin Tifla said no one was killed in the clashes. He had no precise figure for the number detained but said that many of them would be released. Witnesses said the unrest erupted when an Egyptian customer clashed with a Bangladeshi shopkeeper over a plate the Arab broke by mistake. A fistfight broke out between Egyptian and Bangladeshi residents. The Egyptians later clashed with police investigating the fight.
