Warehouse Center Offers Range of Discount Stoves

If you’re thinking that your old range might not make it through the holiday cooking season, you may want to check out the Warehouse Discount Center in Simi Valley.

This is an “as is” store with an inventory mostly of “scratch and dents” at sizable reductions.

A self-cleaning General Electric gas range that retails for $619 is reduced to $469 because of a couple of bruises. If you’re going for top quality, the stainless steel Thermador Pro Range that usually sells for $5,199 comes with a price tag of $4,169. Maybe you just need a new hood for your stove, in which case the $19 tag on a Magic Chef hood that retails for $59 is a bargain.

I recently realized that my 20-year-old refrigerator is playing havoc with the electric bill, so I checked out the Amana side-by-side that can cost upward of $1,850. It’s $1,599 here. For a savings of $251, I can live with a scratch or two.

There’s a terrific buy on a Monogram dishwasher for $399 that regularly sells for $789. Warehouse Discount Center also carries Whirlpool, Maytag and Viking in appliances, Kohler and Moen in plumbing fixtures (no scratches or dents on these) and high-end outdoor barbecues at 25% off. Since cosmetic flaws don’t affect a product’s efficiency, the warranty is the same.
