Crescenta Valley 20, Pasadena 0--Steve Carballo had first-half touchdown runs of one and three yards to help the Falcons clinch at least a tie for the league title at Pasadena City College.

Crescenta Valley (8-1, 4-0) played without several players serving suspensions, including starting tailback Wes Jones, standout lineman Ryan Morris and kicker-linebacker John Barbaro. The suspensions were the result of the players’ involvement in the misuse of a credit card belonging to a classmate’s brother.

Coach Alan Eberhart said he was relieved to play the game, though he acknowledged the Falcons are not through dealing with suspensions.

Scott Vossmeyer completed 10 of 18 passes for 91 yards and had an eight-yard touchdown run in the first half, when the Falcons scored all of their points.

Crescenta Valley finished with 222 total yards; Pasadena (3-6, 2-2) had 180.
