Bugged by a State Biologist

Share

* Re Dana Parsons’ Oct. 29 column:

I’m a graduate of Newport Harbor High School and a past biology student. I wonder if John Scholl, state biologist, who is criticizing students for collecting bugs around Upper Newport Bay, realizes that they also are required to put together a shell collection and a plant collection.

Oh gosh! They’re destroying Orange County! And to think this has been going on for more than 50 years (I graduated in 1959).

I think Scholl doesn’t have enough to do. He seems like a real detail-oriented guy. Maybe Caltrans could use him to inspect bridges.
