Hill Harper, an Iowa native, plays a brash young surgical resident in The Steven Bochco drama “City of Angels,” due early next year. The 26-year-old will appear in “The Skulls,” a thriller with Joshua Jackson, AND star opposite Billy Dee Williams and Rae Dawn Chong in “The Visit,” with both films opening next year.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: Triple 5 Soul blue jeans, an olive T-shirt from the Army-Navy store, a brown leather Roots jacket and Lugz boots.

Q: Any favorite Hollywood spots?

A: I love Griffith Park. It’s beautiful. You can see everything and commune with nature. I hike there and go to the observatory.

Q: Are there any actors with whom you would especially like to work?

A: Meryl Streep. I think she tells the truth all the time.

Q: Who is your favorite screen legend?

A: George C. Scott. He has such a powerful presence.

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: My favorite favorite is Mann’s Chinese, then AMC Media North 6 in Burbank. The armrests go up, so if you have a girlfriend, and sometimes I do, I can cuddle with her.

Q: Do you visit the concession stand?

A: I get popcorn, no butter, and Raisinettes.

Q: What will you wear to “The Visit” premiere?

A: Probably a funky shirt and slacks from Armani Exchange.

Q: Do you have to deal with any screaming teenage fans?

A: Not really, because most of the people who see independent films are more cerebral.

CLEA DUVALL

Clea DuVall, 22, a native Angeleno, is next up in “Girl Interrupted,” opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie, due out in december. “I play a pathological liar who lives in a mental institution.” The comedy “But I’m A Cheerleader,” featuring Natasha Lyonne and Cathy Moriarty, follows.

Q: What was your last non-acting job?

A: I worked at Buzz Coffee on Sunset. I was the rude bleached blond.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: An A-line gray skirt with blue knee socks and a white pullover three-quarter-length shirt.

Q: Are there any actors with whom you would especially like to work?

A: Susan Sarandon, Stockard Channing and Diane Venora.

Q: Who is your favorite screen legend?

A: Olivia de Havilland. “The Snake Pit” is my favorite movie. She was brilliant in it

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: The Hollywood Galaxy, because no one is there during the day.

Q: What will you wear to the “Girl Interrupted” premiere?

A: I did a shoot for Harper’s Bazaar recently. I wore a light blue silky tank top by Miu Miu. It has a matching knee-length skirt. I hope to wear this. And Miu Miu has the cutest shoes: lavender open-toed shoes with a circle on the heel.

Q: Do you have to deal with any screaming teenage fans?

A: Not screaming, but excited. They usually want an autograph and Josh Hartnett’s phone number [with whom she starred in “The Faculty”].

MARISSA RIBISI

Marissa Ribisi, 24, is currently starring in the half-hour television comedy “Grown Ups.” Of her character, Shari, Ribisi says: “She’s a really sweet, endearing person, but she can be feisty at times.” The Los Angeles native also co-wrote and appeared in “Some Girl.”

Q: What was your last non-acting job?

A: I had a clothing company called Monster when I was 16. We sold to stores like Contempo Casuals. But it was very tiring. Long hours.

Q: Longer hours than acting?

A: Yes.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: Black Katayone Adeli slacks with tiny white pinstripes, a little gray and blue sweater, high- heeled boots and blush. I always wear blush. I feel like I have life when I do.

Q: Any favorite Hollywood spots?

A: I really like the caves up Bronson [Canyon].

Q: Who is your favorite star on the Walk of Fame?

A: Is John Cusack there? I love him right now. He’s unbelievably charming. I love his fast talk and rhythm.

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: I love the big golf ball theater [Cinerama Dome] because it’s so big.

Q: Do you visit the concession stand?

A: I always get popcorn.

Q: Describe your entourage.

A: Well, I have great friends. But I find myself driving in my car alone a lot. I want to have an entourage. I want to be part of a cool club of people.

DAVID KRUMHOLTZ

David Krumholtz is currently lending his talents to Barry Levinson’s film”Liberty Heights” and appears next in “How to Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog,” with Kenneth Branagh and Robin Wright Penn, in which he plays Brian Sellars, a gay theater director. “He’s a little over the top, something I’ve always wanted to play,” says the 21-year-old New York-born actor.

Q: What was your last non-acting job?

A: Actually, I own one-third of a fondue restaurant in Queens called “The Melting Pot.” But I don’t work there. I’m the silent partner.

Q: What is your favorite fondue?

A: Chocolate-chip cookie dough in chocolate.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: Jeans and a Polo shirt. I try to dress as hooded up as I can. I tryto scare the casting directors into hiring me.

Q: Who is your favorite star on the Walk of Fame?

A: Probably Eddie Murphy because he’s ridiculously, hellaciously, hilariously funny.

Q: Who is your favorite screen legend?

A: Jerry Lewis. I think comedy is a God-given talent if it’s done well.

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: The AMC Media North 6. They have couch seats with retractable arms.

Q: Describe your entourage.

A: I’m sort of a loner, a rebel. My family is my entourage.

Q: What is the youngest character you’ve played as an adult?

A: I’ve always played my age. But once I played a 200-year-old elf in “The Santa Clause.” I have amazing range.

CHRISTIAN CAMPBELL

Christian Campbell, 27, will star in “The Piano Man’s Daughter,” opposite Stockard Channing. “I play a man at a metamorphosis point in his life, dealing with demons in his family,” he says. “It’s a dark Irish tale.” the Toronto-born Campbell is also at work onstage in the musical comedy “Reefer Madness!” at Los Angeles’ Hudson Backstage Theatre.

Q: What was your last non-acting job?

A: I was slinging beer in an Irish pub in Nuremberg, Germany. I was also a lighting roadie for Bryan Adams’ concerts in Germany.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: I try to dress down. I don’t want to look pretentious. Khaki green military cargo pants from a surplus store-- I wear them all the time--and a blue button-down shirt from J. Crew. I’m a pretty boring dresser.

Q: What will you wear to the Ovation Awards on Nov. 8? (“Reefer Madness!” is up for six awards, including Best Musical.)

A: I have a nice DKNY suit. It’s slate gray, almost black.

Q: Are there any actors with whom you would especially like to work?

A: Jeremy Irons. I’ve always respected his choice of work. And Elisabeth Shue. She’s a cool one. But I don’t get star-struck.

Q: Any favorite Hollywood spots?

A: El Compadre on Sunset. It’s a dark little hole in the wall of a Mexican restaurant with great mariachi music.

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: The Laemmle 5 on Sunset. I love their choice of movies. And the Cecchi Gori at La Cienega and Wilshire.

MARLEY SHELTON

Marley Shelton is currently appearing in “The Bachelor,” with Chris O’Donnell and Renee Zellweger. Says the 23-year-old native Angeleno about her role in the upcoming “Sugar and Spice”: “I play a cheerleader who gets pregnant, and I decide to rob a bank to support my family-to-be.”

* Q: What was your last non-acting job?

A: When I was 15, I was a Guess girl in Glendale. It was an after-school job.

Q: What did you wear to your last audition?

A: I try to look as neutral as possible. It’s important to have your attire be nondescript. I wear my hair pulled back and little to no makeup.

Q: What will you wear to “The Bachelor” premiere?

A: Valentino. A light gray silk halter top with a gorgeous beaded neckline and gray wool pants.

Q: Are there any actors with whom you would especially like to work?

A: Annette Bening, Cate Blanchett, Christina Ricci, Sarah Polley, Gary Oldman and Robert Downey Jr.

Q: Any favorite Hollywood spots?

A: The Hollywood Canteen for lunch. They have amazing carrot-ginger soup. And the Chateau Marmont for late-night dinner (not the bar). I love running at Lake Hollywood. I’m a Hollywood advocate.

Q: What is your favorite movie theater in Los Angeles?

A: The Cecchi Gori on Wilshire. The architecture is stunning.

Q: What is the youngest character you’ve played as an adult?

A: I just finished playing 17 [in “Sugar and Spice”].
