A Santa Monica company launching today plans to create a Web portal to link visitors to the customer-service departments of thousands of companies. Feedback Direct expects to launch its site in mid-December with free forms for filing complaints, compliments, questions, requests and suggestions to companies. Special software will route the messages to the customer-service departments of the appropriate companies. Three of Feedback Direct’s top executives, including founder and Chief Executive Thatcher Wine, are from U.S. Interactive, an Internet services and consulting firm. The start-up has received funding from San Francisco-based Sterling Payot Capital and 2M Technology Ventures of Dallas.
