With 17 receptions over the final three games, senior R. Jay Soward would finish his career as the second-leading receiver in USC history behind Johnnie Morton, who had 201 receptions.
Soward ranks fourth with 152, and needs 12 catches to pass No. 3 John Jackson, and 17 to pass No. 2 Keyshawn Johnson, who played only two seasons at USC.

Offensive lineman Jason Grain, who had hoped to return from arthroscopic knee surgery by Saturday’s Washington State game, remains out. . . . Offensive lineman Trevor Roberts (wrist), defensive lineman Matt Childers (shoulder), receiver Marcell Allmond (shoulder) and defensive tackle Aaron Williams (neck) are doubtful.
