Tony Danza is “Fiorello!,” the famously colorful mayor of New York, in Reprise! Broadway’s Best in Concert’s production of the 1959 musical about Fiorello H. La Guardia. It beat out “Gypsy” and “The Sound of Music,” among other biggies, to win the triple crown: the Pulitzer Prize, the Tony Award for best musical and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award.

* “Fiorello!,” UCLA’s Freud Playhouse (parking lot 3), Westwood. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 2 p.m.; Nov. 14, 7 p.m. Ends Nov. 21. $45 to $50. (310) 825-2101; (213) 365-3500.

8:30 pm: Comedy

Comedian Robert Schimmel’s material is a cocktail comprised of equal parts sex, sexual frustration, and more frustration. The raunchy, original comic is showing signs of branching out, with an HBO special debuting Saturday and a sitcom in the works for Fox. Catch him doing what he does best beginning tonight and continuing through this weekend at the Brea Improv.

10 pm: Pop Music

On his new album, “Calle Salud,” and on his current tour--which includes his Los Angeles debut at the Conga Room--93-year-old Buena Vista Social Club member Compay Segundo adds clarinets to his sons to evoke the Cuban music of the ‘30s.

* Compay Segundo, the Conga Room, 5364 Wilshire Blvd., 10 p.m. $35 and $75. (323) 938-1696. Also Friday.

8 pm: Dance

American fans once called him Mr. Razzmatazz and now, at age 36, he’s simply King Farukh, but whatever you call him, the Kirov Ballet’s Farukh Ruzimatov is the rarest of ‘90s virtuosos. Who else not only executes bravura feats but can act, can partner and has temperament to burn? Even though lesser talents dominate his two no-so-different “Stars of Russian Ballet” programs in Cerritos this weekend, expect two stellar exceptions: the always exciting (even when wildly wrongheaded) Yulia Makhalina and the newest Kirov sensation, 22-year-old Diana Vishneva.

* Farukh Ruzimatov and “Stars of the Russian Ballet,” Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, 12700 Center Court Drive, Cerritos. Program 1: Thursday and Friday, 8 p.m. Program 2: Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m. $42 to $57. (562) 916-8500.
