Toys R Us Inc.’s operating profit jumped 55% in the third quarter to $31 million, or 13 cents a share, well beyond analysts’ estimates of 8 cents, as popular toys such as Pokemon trading cards, Furby dolls and video games pushed sales up 14% to $2.46 billion. The company also benefited from a renovation of its stores.
