Rainbow Receives Security Card Contract

Irvine-based Rainbow Technologies Inc. said Monday it received a three-year contract worth up to $15.3 million to provide security cards for the Department of Defense’s National Security Agency.

The security agency will use the Fortezza Plus Crypto Cards in all secure terminal equipment for classified voice and data communications throughout the Defense Department and other government agencies, according to Rainbow, which makes encryption technology and software protection products.
