Disney Gets Go-Ahead

Lifting a lower court ruling, two U.S. Court of Appeals judges gave Walt Disney Co. permission to resume using the logo for its Go Network of Internet sites. The reversal came just three days after Disney was forced to remove the disputed logo from its Web sites and television stations to comply with the lower court ruling. Disney appealed that ruling and is now free to use the logo until a decision is reached on that legal challenge, perhaps within a month. The squabble stems from an ongoing trademark infringement suit filed by Pasadena-based GoTo.com Inc. that accuses Disney of copying the smaller company’s traffic light logo. Disney officials said they plan to resume using the logo immediately.
